Hi, I'm Tom Alongi

I have been involved in trading for more years then I care to state (over 33 years). I am a retired Chief Forex Dealer that was employed by major international banks in New York. I was a Prop trader for the majority of my career. Meaning I did not have the luxury of using the banks customer orders to line the pockets of my P/L (profit & loss). As a matter of record my Treasurer and mentor Aldo Pizzoferrato had claim to those fruits. We traders on the desk had to come up with our own personal trading systems (I was involved in the creation of each trading system) in order to participate in the market, and still had to quote prices for any other bank that called us via the Reuters Dealing machine or speed dial on the telephone. At the time I hated Aldo for it, now I realize as I sit at my home office trading room what a gift he gave me. Things have not changed for me. I still have no customers to rip off, however, I do have 33 years of knowledge (approximately 197,000 hours of screen time) and trading systems that I developed to draw from. The greater part of my life has been dedicated to Forex and Commodity markets and what makes them tick technically. Technical analysis is extremely important in my life its my avocation and vocation. I can truthfully say I never worked a day in my life as I have been lucky enough to work in a field that I love and enjoy. I am a “perpetual” student of the market. Students in high school or university eventually graduate. Not so students of speculative markets. The study is never finished, especially when your enduring interest is in technical analysis.

My Goals

I know that the most effective and valuable approach to the markets is in the development of systems that actually generate buy and sell signals. These systems must be clear, concise. There can be no room for second guessing what the system is telling you. In order to follow the system you must know exactly why the system is generating the buy or sale signal only then will you be able to have faith in the probability of the signal. The only way you can have this unwavering faith, and the ability to stick with the trading system through periods of small drawdowns is to test. The patterns I am about to unveil to you are time and battle tested. You will be able to quickly see for yourself by perusing your charts. These techniques are going to give you an education, a peek behind the curtain of the hidden rules of the market so you can see the steps that you have been missing all this time. They will help you eliminate the emotions of fear, frustration and confusion. They will stop you from trading from “I want Revenge” attitude.
